The Win a Butler Contest (the “Contest”) opens on June 21, 2016 at 12:00:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time (“EDT”) and ends on July 31, 2016 at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT (the “Contest Period”).
The Contest is only open only to: 1) residents of Ontario who are nineteen (19) years of age or older at the time of entry; 2) residents of British Columbia are nineteen (19) years of age or older at the time of entry; and 3) residents of Alberta who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.
PRIZE:
There will be one (1) prize (the “Prize”) available to be won, which consists of the services of a butler for one (1) week (i.e. from Sunday to Saturday, and no more than eight (8) hours on any given day) (the “Services”). The approximate retail value of the Services is $5,000 CAD. The following terms and conditions apply to the Prize: (i) the Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable, assignable and/or or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion); (ii) no substitutions except at Sponsor’s option; (iii) Prize fulfillment must occur on or before December 31, 2016 (otherwise the Prize may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be forfeited in its entirety and, if forfeited, nothing will be substituted in its place); however, certain blackout periods apply (including without limitation national and provincial holidays and any holidays permitted by the Services provider); (iv) the Services will only consist of ordinary and customary butler services (for example, shine shoes, mix drinks and prepare tea) and must not include any dangerous, risky or demeaning activity or any activity that the Sponsor or Services provider determines is inappropriate (as determined by the Sponsor and/or Services provider in its/their sole and absolute discretion); (v) the costs of everything not specifically and expressly stated above as included in the Prize are the sole and absolute responsibility of the applicable confirmed winner, including without limitation cleaning products, food and beverages, transportation and all costs associated with completing the tasks requested of the butler by the confirmed Prize winner; (vi) if the confirmed winner does not utilize any part(s) of the Prize, then any such part(s) not utilized may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be forfeited in their entirety and, if forfeited, nothing will be substituted in their place; (vii) Sponsor reserves the right at any time to: (a) place reasonable restrictions on the availability or use of the Prize and the Services that may be provided; and (b) substitute the Prize for any reason with a prize of equal or greater value, including, without limitation, but solely at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, a cash award; (viii) by accepting the Prize, the confirmed winner agrees to waive all recourse against the Released Parties if the Prize or the Services do not prove satisfactory, either in whole or in part; (ix) any requested booking date is subject to availability at the time of booking; and (x) the Services are subject to the further terms and conditions of the Services provider and the confirmed winner may be required, upon request, to sign the Services provider’s form of services agreement.
