2018 Tim Hortons Collect To Win Hockey Contest
The Contest has two aspects (each, an “Aspect”): (i) the in-restaurant Aspect (the “Inrestaurant Aspect”); and (ii) the online Aspect (the “Online Aspect”). Play for the Inrestaurant Aspect starts on September 26, 2018 at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on November 7, 2018 at 9:59:59 p.m. ET, or once all Card Packs (defined below) have been distributed whichever occurs first (the “In-restaurant Aspect Period”). Pre-Registration for the Online Aspect starts on September 19, 2018 at 12:00:00 a.m. ET and ends on September 25, 2018 at 11:59:59 p.m. ET (the “Online Aspect Pre-Registration Period”). Play for the Online Aspect starts on September 26, 2018 at 12:00:00 a.m. ET and ends on November 7, 2018 at 9:59:59 p.m. ET (the “Online Aspect Period”).
The Contest is only open to legal residents of Canada who: (i) have reached the legal age of majority in their province/territory of residence; or (ii) are thirteen (13) years of age or older, but under the age of majority in their province/territory of residence (each, a “Minor”), and who have permission from their parent/legal guardian (a “Parent”) to participate in this Contest and be bound by these Rules. Despite the foregoing, employees, representatives or agents (and those domiciled with, any such employee, representative or agent) of Tim Hortons Advertising and Promotion Fund (Canada) Inc. (the “Sponsor”), The TDL Group Corp., the National Hockey League (“NHL”), its member teams, NHL Enterprises Canada, L.P., NHL Enterprises, L.P., NHL Enterprises B.V. and NHL Interactive CyberEnterprises, LLC (such foregoing NHL entities collectively, the “NHL Entities”), National Hockey League Players’ Association (“NHLPA”), each of the foregoing party’s respective parent, affiliated and related companies, Tim Hortons franchisees/licensees, the consulting, advertising and promotion agencies of the Sponsor, the independent contest organization and/or any other entity involved in the organization, administration, execution or fulfillment of the Contest (collectively, the “Contest Parties”), are not eligible to participate. Employees, representatives or agents of Tim Hortons franchisees/licensees as described in this paragraph are limited to those employees, representatives or agents who are providing services in any way to Tim Hortons Restaurant(s). For greater certainty, employees, representative or agents of the Contest Parties may obtain Card Packs (defined below) in accordance with these Rules (while supplies last); however, such individuals may not claim a prize or participate in the Online Aspect.

Instant Win Prizes (a) Instant Win Free Coffee: There will be fifty thousand (50,000) Instant Win Free Coffee Prizes (each, an “Instant Win Free Coffee Prize”). Each Instant Win Free Coffee Prize consists of one (1) one-time use coupon (subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer), which can be redeemed for one (1) free brewed hot coffee or specialty tea or steeped tea (any size) at a participating Tim Hortons restaurant location (each, a “Coupon”). In respect of each Instant Win Free Coffee Prize, the confirmed winner will receive one (1) Coupon for his/her use, which will also include instructions regarding how to claim the Coupon. Each Coupon must be redeemed on or before December 31, 2018. Each Coupon will be delivered via e-mail (using the information provided to the Sponsor) within forty-eight (48) hours of the completion of winner verification and confirmation processes (as provided in these Rules). Each Coupon may be redeemed by either printing it or displaying it on a compatible Smartphone at a participating Tim Hortons restaurant location (subject to compliance with the Coupon’s terms and conditions). The approximate retail value (ARV) of each Instant Win Free Coffee Prize is between $1.49-$2.09 CAD. The number of Instant Win Free Coffee Prizes will decrease throughout the Online Aspect Period as they are – 10 – claimed in accordance with these Rules. The correct answer to a mathematical skill-testing question must be submitted no later than five (5) days following the completion of the Online Aspect. Draw Prizing: (b) $100 Tim Card® Prizes: There will be two hundred (200) $100 Tim Card® prizes (each, a “$100 Tim Card® Prize”). Each $100 Tim Card® Prize consists of a $100 CAD Tim Card. Each $100 Tim Card® Prize must be accepted as awarded in the form solely decided upon by the Sponsor. No interest will be paid on any $100 Tim Card® Prize. Each $100 Tim Card® Prize is subject to the Tim Card® terms a – 11 – forfeited in its entirety and, if forfeited, nothing will be substituted in its place. Once the winner has submitted the name of his/her guest and any required booking information, no changes to travel dates or bookings will be permitted. If a winner and his/her guest do not utilize any part(s) of the 2019 NHL® All-Star Game Prize, then any such part(s) not utilized may, in the sole and absolute discretion of the Sponsor, be forfeited in their entirety and, if forfeited, nothing will be substituted in their place. Each guest must travel on the same itinerary as the winner and must sign (and, if a minor, his/her parent or legal guardian must also sign) and return a liability/publicity release prior to being eligible to participate in a 2019 NHL® All-Star Game Prize. The winners and their guests will be responsible for all other expenses not specified stated above as included in a 2019 NHL® All-Star Game Prize, including without limitation: travel and medical insurance, all ground transportation, gratuities, meals, telephone calls, in-room charges, applicable taxes (including Airport Improvement Taxes) and incidentals. Each winner (or his/her guest) may be required to present a valid major credit card in his/her name at the time of hotel check-in to cover incidental charges. Each winner and his/her guest are responsible for ensuring that they have all necessary travel documents (e.g. passports, visa, etc.), that they are in good order, and are valid prior to, and for the entire duration of the trip, and that they have no legal barrier to enter and return from the U.S.A. If a winner and/or his/her guest cannot travel for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation, inadequate travel documentation or if they cannot travel during the specified travel dates and times provided, or any other reason, then such winner may nominate a person to whom the 2019 NHL® All-Star Game Prize may be transferred, subject to the Sponsor’s ultimate approval in its sole and absolute discretion. Sponsor is not responsible if the 2019 NHL® All-Star Game is cancelled or postponed for any reason whatsoever. Alternative arrangements (if any) will be made at Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion and Sponsor reserves the right to not make any alternative arrangements. Resale of NHL® game/event tickets is prohibited. Each winner and his/her guest must abide by all venue policies and game/event ticket terms and conditions. Sponsor reserves the right to revoke any full or partial 2019 NHL® All-Star Game Prize from any winner or winner’s guest who it, or venue personnel, deem may, in its sole discretion, be intoxicated, be a safety risk, have violated any venue policy or law, or may bring Sponsor or the NHL Entities into disrepute. (f) Meet & Greet with Sidney Crosby Prize: There will be one (1) Meet & Greet with Sidney Crosby Prize (the “Meet & Greet with Sidney Crosby Prize”). One (1) winner (“Winner”) will receive a prize consisting of a trip for Winner and his/her travelling companion (“Guest”) to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. (or any other city in the USA or Canada determined by the Sponsor at its sole discretion) that includes: • Attendance of Winner and Guest to a private Meet & Greet session with Sidney Crosby (the “Meet & Greet Session”) lasting approximately ten (10) minutes, which will occur immediately following an NHL® game (subject to scheduling determined by Sponsor) or as otherwise determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (in consultation with the NHLPA) • Two (2) tickets to a 2018-19 regular season NHL® game • Two (2) nights of hotel accommodations (1 standard double occupancy room) • One (1) $1,000 CAD spending money, issued in the form of a cheque – 12 – • Applicable return airfare from the international airport closest to the Winner’s place of residence Total approximate retail value of the Meet & Greet with Sidney Crosby Prize is CAD $4,500 (based on return economy airfare for two from Toronto, Ontario to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and excluding the Meet & Greet Session which is not available for sale and therefore has no associated retail value). In the event that the location of the Meet & Greet Session is changed, the total approximate retail value of the prize will change accordingly. The exact date, time, duration and location of the events of the Meet & Greet with Sidney Crosby Prize shall be at the sole discretion of Sponsor (in consultation with the NHLPA). Sponsor shall consult with Winner on potential dates and times, but the final decision shall be at Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Winner and his/her Guest must abide by any rules or requirements of Sponsor and/or the event venues for attendance at the events included in the Meet & Greet with Sidney Crosby Prize. The Winner and his/her Guest are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein, including, without limitation, as applicable, taxes, fuel/currency surcharges, ground transportation, meals and beverages, room service, gratuities, merchandise, telephone calls, insurance, any required travel documentation, all personal expenses of any kind or nature, and any overnight layover. Departure dates and accommodation are subject to availability and change without notice or compensation. The Winner is also solely responsible for all costs incurred to and from the Departure Point as the Meet & Greet with Sidney Crosby Prize originates and terminates there and applicable return airfare from the international airport closest to the Winner’s place of residence (“Departure Point”). It is the sole responsibility of the Winner and his/her Guest to obtain all necessary travel documentation including passports and visas, and to comply with any customs and immigration requirements, as applicable. The Winner and his/her Guest must be legally able to travel to and from the U.S.A. The Winner and his/her Guest must be able to travel at the times and dates and to the places as determined by the Contest Sponsor, in its sole discretion and authority, failing which the Meet & Greet with Sidney Crosby Prize will be forfeited. It is recommended that the Winner and his/her Guest obtain sufficient personal insurance prior to departure. 32. Each Online Aspect Prize must be accepted as awarded and is not assignable or convertible to cash (except as may be specifically permitted by the Sponsor in its sole and absolute discretion). No substitutions except at the Sponsor’s option. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to substitute any Online Aspect Prize or a component thereof with a prize of equal or greater retail value, including, without limitation, but at the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, a cash award. Collectively, the In-restaurant Aspect Prizes and Online Aspect Prizes will be referred to as the “Prizes”.
