My Review
This book is a great household management reference book, a book you can pick up over and over to find neat ideas and tips to help you get organized and stay organized.
There are so many checklists, tips, cleaning, organizing and decluttering plans, you can literally find information on just about any household topic. You can even find information on food storage for fridge, freezer and pantry.
This book is divided into very useful chapters on rooms, paper & finance, clothing, surfaces and systems, cleaning and planning your home. At the end of every chapter my favourite part is the checklists and to do lists!
I’m fairly well organized myself, but this book has something for everyone (especially for my girls). I’ve found some really good ideas to help me get my kids better organized.
One of my favourite clean-up challenges I found in this book for my daughter (who can be pretty messy) is setting aside 10 minutes and getting 3 boxes and a garbage bag, one box is for stuff to put away, one box is for stuff that needs to be filed or stored away, one box is for stuff to give to charity, and the bag is for garbage. Set your timer for 10-minutes and just do as much as you can in an area. When the timer is up, put away the stuff in the one box and you’ve made so much progress in such a short time.
