Ninja Coffee Bar Review
I’ve always been a big fan of the Ninja brand (and coffee), so I can’t begin to tell you how excited I was to unbox the Ninja Coffee Bar.
The set up was very easy and it was literally minutes before I had it running through the initial cleaning process.
Like all Ninja products, you can immediately see and feel the quality! It’s a solid machine with a beautiful stainless steel finish that anyone would be proud to display on their countertop… I know I am!
But it’s not just a pretty face… It comes with some fancy bells and whistles!!
The Water Reservoir
This makes my morning ritual so much easier… No more worrying about measuring or constant refills, it’s just there! I especially love how easy it is to remove and top off under the tap. This comes in handy in a case like mine where the machine is tucked away under a cabinet… Saves me pulling the whole thing out. The reservoir conveniently has indication marks that show you if you have enough water for what you want to brew.
The Programmable Brew Delay
Very easy to set up — like an alarm clock — that wakes you up with the sweet aroma of freshly brewed coffee!
The Drip Stop
For those times you just can’t wait for that Carafe to fill! I want my coffee NOW!! Thank you Drip Stop!
Brew Basket & Filter
The slide out basket is another cool feature that accommodates my setup of being tucked away under a cabinet. Adding coffee grounds has never been easier. The reusable filter will save you a few bucks down the road in paper filters and supposedly you get a better cup of joe from it, but I find these tend to leave coffee grounds sitting at the bottom of your cup. Personally I prefer the paper filters for this reason — which this versatile machine allows for!
The Cup Holder
This feature brings your mug closer to the drip and lets you brew a single cup with less mess.
The Glass Carafe
The stylish glass carafe holds up to 43 oz. If you pay a little extra, there’s a model that comes with a stainless steel carafe.
The Travel Mug
This has proven to be a great companion on my commutes, but just because it’s called a travel mug, it hasn’t stopped me from using it at home… I’ve found it to be the perfect size to kickstart my mornings.
The Scoop
Finally, no more guess work on how much coffee to use — the scoop clearly indicates how much coffee to use with the amount of water selected, resulting in a consistent, prefect brew every time!
The Ninja Coffee Bar allows you to choose from 4 different brewing settings… Classic Brew, Rich Brew (my personal favourite), Over Ice Brew, and Specialty Brew… That’s right, it comes equipped with an Easy Frother and Recipe Book so you can make those fancy-shmancy specialty drinks like a Mocha Latte or Café au Lait. Now if that don’t impress your friends, there’s just no pleasing them.
In a nut shell, the Ninja Coffee Bar blows the competition out of the water — I’ve tried the Keurig and the Tassimo (which is pricey and limited) and they don’t come close to what you’re getting here. This machine takes your average store bought coffee and makes it taste like something you’d get at a Starbucks, Tim Hortons, or McCafe! By far the best coffee maker I’ve owned to date.
