VarageSale is an iPhone app that can be used to buy or sell various sundry items. On the App Store page, the developers boast that this marketplace is a “friendly, fun and non-threatening environment.”

Pros

• Simple interface makes it easy to scroll and browse dozens of items in a flash
• Excellent listing structure makes it simple to see everything at a glance: who’s selling it, where they are, and what the asking price is
• “Like” or comment on any given item
• VarageSale will not post anything to your Facebook page without your permission
• Friendly, personable support

This is a great way to sell my things no longer needed, and buy things I need. I can customize VarageSale to my preferences. I’m not in the market for baby clothes, so I can select to not see them. I like what ‘Carol’ posts, so I follow her, and get notified when she posts an item. AND I can chose how I get notified. I can get push notifications, via my app. I can get email notifications, which I can reply to right from the email, without signing into VarageSale. I have my own ‘store’ with my items posted. Easy to find and maintain. This app is the best!
