Scotiabank Customer Referral Program Offer
“Eligible Account” means the following Scotiabank accounts: Scotia One™ Account and Basic Banking Plan.
“Referrer” means an individual who receives an email or other electronic communication from us that includes an offer to participate in the Referral Program. “We”, “us”, and “Scotiabank” mean The Bank of Nova Scotia. 1. In order for the Referrer to receive CAD $50, a) the Referrer must refer a Qualifying Referee Customer to us under the Referral Program; b) the Qualifying Referee Customer must open an Eligible Account between November 29, 2013 and May 30, 2014; c) the Referrer must have an Eligible Account that is in good standing at the time we attempt to deposit the CAD $50 on the relevant date referred to in paragraph 3 below; and d) the Referrer must not be a Scotiabank employee. 2. Subject to paragraph 1, the CAD $50 will be deposited into the Referrer’s Eligible Account 30-60 after the Qualifying Referee Customer has met the requirements of paragraph 3. 3. In order for the Qualifying Referee Customer to receive CAD $50, he/she must a) register at the website indicated on the electronic referral form sent by the Referrer to be one of the first 3,500 Qualifying Referee Customers; b) bring valid picture identification to a Canadian Scotiabank branch (except in the Province of Quebec); c) be one of the first 3,500 Qualifying Referee Customers to open an Eligible Account between November 29, 2013 and May 30, 2014; d) ensure that the Eligible Account is in good standing at the time we attempt to deposit the CAD $50; and e) not be a Scotiabank employee. 4. The CAD $50 will be deposited into the Qualifying Referee Customer’s Eligible Account 30-60 days after he/she has met the requirements of paragraph 3.
Maximum one CAD $50 bonus offer for each Qualifying Referee Customer. 6. Each Referrer can earn a maximum of five CAD $50 offers under this Referral Program 7. In order for the Referrer to receive Bonus SCENE Points, a) the Referrer must have a SCENE ScotiaCard banking card; b) the Referrer must refer two Qualifying Referee Customers and meet the conditions under paragraph 1 above. Additional referrals of Qualifying Referee Customers will earn additional Bonus SCENE Points as set out in paragraph 9. 8. Subject to paragraph 7, the Bonus SCENE Points will be deposited into the Referrer’s SCENE membership account 30-60 days after the applicable Qualifying Referee Customer has met the requirements of paragraph 3. 9. For purposes of this Referral Program, “Bonus SCENE Points” means, a) 1,000 SCENE points for completing the first two referrals; b) 1,500 SCENE points for the third referral; c) 2,500 SCENE points for the fourth referral. 10. Each Referrer can earn a maximum of 5,000 SCENE Points under this Referral Program.
